- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have always lacked confidence in my smile it's something that has always been a problem for me. Otherwise I am very happy with myself, just not my teeth. I was also a bit scared of the dentist and didn't go as often as I should. In the end it came to getting married to give me the kick I need to speak to an orthodontist. I was referred by my Dentist 146 on Whitley Road to Oraprime Orthodontics and although I must admit I was nervous before going as I didn't know what was involved. Well do I feel stupid now, let me tell you there is nothing to fear at all. First thing Katherine did was talk to me, ask me why I wanted treatment, what I wasn't happy with etc. Once she had examined my teeth (pain free too I must make clear) she told me my options available. I decided to go for the old school metal look, it was a bit cheaper and my job doesn't require face to face interaction. We started the treatment which again I thought would be at least uncomfortable but it wasn't getting the braces on was the easy part. So I started my treatment in December 2009 and I was getting married in April 2010, no way can my teeth get any better in such a short space of time. But somehow they did and my braces came off just for the wedding. The difference was massive, everyone commented on my new smile and the pictures looked great. I have completed the treatment which took about 3 years, mainly down to how bad my teeth where before. I am going to post some before and after pictures on their website to show the difference. I am really happy with my new smile - they day the braces came off I honestly thought and said to Katherine when did I get veneers as they looked so perfect.
